The Mode Circle provides an interactive representation of the generalized circle of fifths, offering a nuanced perspective on tonal relationships.

This tool displays all 12 by 7 diatonic scales derived from the major scale through root shifts and initial note selections, allowing users to explore the full harmonic spectrum.

The currently selected scale is clearly indicated and can be played back for auditory reference.

Several configurable views enhance the analysis and understanding of these scales:

• Vertical groupings based on shared scale tones or common fundamental notes.
• Vertical arrangements arranged by scale degree or brightness.
• Horizontal layouts according to fifth or semitone relationships.
• The option to display or emphasize a single diatonic mode—analogous to the traditional major or minor circle of fifths.
• Alternatively, users can freely select and explore any scale within the system.
